MONITOR

The monitor lizard is a highly-intelligent, energetic creature that
is an exciting joy to keep. Not for the enthusiast
who is looking for a pet. Monitor lizards vary
in size and weight by their species and
require large cages and frequent cage and water
cleaning. The monitor lizard is carniverous and enjoys
a diet rich in insects and mice. They are avid climbers
and excellent swimmers. Larger species can reach up to
seven feet in length and can live up to 15 years of age in captivity.
